Geomembrane General Introduction

Geomembrane is a flexible waterproof and barrier material made from high-density polyethylene resin through processes like high-temperature melting, extrusion and calendering. It is also known as High Density Polyethylene Impermeable membrane, abbreviated as HDPE geomembrane.

Product Features

High Impermeability: It has an extremely low permeability coefficient, usually between  and  m/s, which is much better than ordinary waterproof materials in preventing water seepage, and can effectively cut off the leakage channels of earth dams.

Good Chemical Stability: 

It is resistant to corrosion by strong acids, alkalis, oils and many other chemical media. It can be widely used in sewage treatment, chemical reaction tanks, landfills and other projects where it is exposed to various chemical substances.

Excellent Aging Resistance: 

With outstanding anti-aging, anti-ultraviolet and anti-decomposition capabilities, it can be used exposed to the elements for 50 - 70 years, providing a reliable material guarantee for environmental seepage prevention.

High Tensile Strength: 

It has a high tensile strength, with a breaking tensile strength of 28 Mpa and an elongation at break of 700%. It can withstand high water pressure and adapt to the deformation of the foundation, meeting the requirements of high-standard engineering projects.

Good Anti-Puncture Performance: It has excellent anti-puncture ability and can resist the roots of most plants, which is very suitable for projects where there is a risk of being punctured by roots or sharp objects.
